October 2025 Senior of the Month

Congratulations to Sophie Mishler for being announced as October 2025 Senior of the Month.

Congratulations to Sophia Mishler, our October Senior of the Month. She has distinguished herself through her exceptional academic skills, compassionate leadership, and deep commitment to service. A true scholar, she has excelled across her rigorous coursework while balancing a demanding schedule of extracurriculars. Teachers consistently note her strong writing skills, analytical thinking, and ability to elevate class discussions. She brings curiosity and persistence to her studies, and her classmates benefit from the way she includes and encourages others to succeed.

Her contributions to SHS Theatre are extraordinary. From her beginnings as a freshman actor to her current role as president of the Theatre Board, she has grown into a confident leader who inspires others both on and off stage. She has served as student director, dance captain, and International Thespian Society member, and was voted “Best Leader” by her cast and crew during The Addams Family. Whether leading choreography, mentoring underclassmen, or collaborating with directors, she is intentional about creating a supportive and inclusive environment. Her leadership in theatre is matched by her involvement in other activities: she has served on Student Council, UNICEF, Drama Club, Christian Ambassadors, National Honor Society, and Choir Board.

Service is a consistent theme in Sophia’s life. She has volunteered as a math tutor at SHS, a crew leader at St. Gregory of Nyssa Vacation Bible School, and through Special Spaces with NHS. She has also given her time to makeup and set building for children’s musicals at the Schaumburg Park District and to community events such as the Blackwell back-to-school picnic. No matter the setting, she leads with compassion and strives to make those around her feel valued and supported. Her service is not an afterthought to her busy schedule, but rather a reflection of who she is and what she believes.

Looking ahead, Sophia plans to study microbiology at a four-year university before pursuing certification as a Physician’s Assistant, with the goal of working in allergy and immunology. Her resilience, compassion, and commitment to serving others make her a powerful example of leadership and purpose.

Schaumburg High School is proud to honor Sophia Mishler as Senior of the Month. She represents the best of what it means to be a Saxon: academically strong, artistically gifted, deeply compassionate, and dedicated to making a difference in the lives of others.
