Iris Park

We are pleased to announce that Iris Park has been named May Senior of the Month. Throughout her four years at Schaumburg, Iris has proven herself to be a leader both inside the classroom as well as in outside activities. Iris brings a passion for excellence and a drive to make a difference that benefits all in our community.

In the classroom, Iris has shown an impressive level of dedication. As a vocal leader in the classroom, Iris constantly pushes herself to a high degree of academic success while balancing a course load laden with Advanced Placement courses. An active member of her class, she has earned the respect of her teachers and peers alike due to her hard work and leadership.

In her years at Schaumburg, Iris’s extracurricular involvement has been significant in breadth. She has participated in an extraordinary number of activities, and has widely shared her considerable artistic talents. She has been an athlete in the Volleyball program and a performer in the Orchestra. She is in multiple activities, and actively embraces leadership roles. Iris is a talented artist, and has used her skills to design many school-wide designs, most notably for the Pink Out in October and St. Baldrick’s in March. She has been recognized for her excellence in many fields, including National Honor Society, the Jean Bajko Scholarship, and as a winner of the Green Innovator award from Exelon STEM Academy.

Iris’s dedication to excellence is evident in all that she does. Being a part of a community is a strong motivator for Iris. She demonstrates a consistent willingness to put the needs of others before her own, one of the many characteristics that will make her such a success as she moves on to the next level. Iris plans to attend college and major in Environmental Science at the University of Illinois.
