February 2026 Senior of the Month

Congratulations to Bella Brenzinger for being announced as February 2026 Senior of the Month.

Schaumburg High School February Senior of the Month

Bella Brenzinger

Schaumburg High School is proud to recognize Bella Brenzinger as the February Senior of the Month.  Bella has embraced the spirit of our school and, in doing so, established herself as a person of influence in the SHS community. It is quite easy to see why: Bella exudes a quiet confidence that allows one to feel comfortable in trusting her abilities.

Over the past three and a half years at Schaumburg High School, Bella has time and again demonstrated her ability to be trustworthy, engaging, resourceful, and determined in much of what she does. Bella excels academically and takes her studies very seriously, an approach that has served her well in the classroom. She has earned numerous academic accolades, including the 2025 AP Scholar Award with Distinction, the 2024 AP Seminar and Research Certificate, the 2024 AP Scholar Award, the 2025 College Board National Recognition Award, and the Illinois State Scholar award.

Beyond the classroom, Bella has been an integral member of the Saxon Community, with involvement in, among others, Operation Snowball, Student Ambassadors, Partners Club, Students Helping Others, Peer Mediation, UNICEF, Saxon LIFT, National Honor Society, and Mu Alpha Theta. Outside of school, Bella’s impact extends to our community through connections with Saint Hubert Catholic School and Church, Feed My Starving Children, and The Cebrin Goodman Teen Institute (CGTI), where she earned the conference-wide Catalyst for Change award in 2024! She has also earned the Saxon Pride Award 3 times during her time at SHS.

However, as well rounded a student as she is, her most meaningful interactions have come during her time spent in Operation Snowball. After spending her freshman year as a participant, Bella became a part of the student leadership team for OS. Bella’s kind spirit, intelligence, and resourcefulness showed very quickly as she found herself getting involved in the staff development for the OS event. Over time she has developed a strong voice of advocacy for teens making healthy choices in their lives. In Operation Snowball, she has been a participant, planner, fundraiser, and student staff member, all in an effort to promote positive decision making at Schaumburg High School, free from alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs. This past year, she also served as a youth advocate on the state-wide Operation Snowball, Inc. Board of Directors. Bella really has an understanding of how people tick and works to bring the best out in those around her! It is no wonder that she was selected to serve as a Director for the 2025 and 2026 Operation Snowball events.

When asked how she maintains balance and remains motivated within her busy life, Bella states that she practices “self care by spending time with people who positively impact me, especially my family, and by taking time for myself for hobbies and relaxation.” Bella truly has everything it takes to be extraordinary in her life and career: a relentless quest for knowledge, an endearing ability to make any individual feel like they’re the only person that matters at that moment, and a humility which comes only with a confidence in her own self-worth.

Bella plans to attend Western Illinois University next year, and there is no question that she will find success in whatever she does in life. But, it’s not just her drive for academic excellence, nor her leadership in numerous extra- and co-curricular activities that will define Bella’s future. It is her ability to connect with people on a personal level that will help Bella as she takes the next step in her life.

Congratulations to Bella Brenzinger on the well-deserved honor of being named  Schaumburg High School’s February Senior of the Month.
