Winter Formal 2026

Important Dance Information 

  • Saturday, February 7th, 7:00 p.m.-10:00p.m. 
  • Tickets: $20 each, each SHS student may bring one guest. 
  • Tickets will be on sale through myschoolbucks starting 1/26 through 11:59 pm on 2/5. Tickets will be sold in person at the Cashier Wednesday 2/4- Friday 2/6 at noon for students who want to pay by cash. 
  • Tickets will be sold at the door for $25. Guest tickets will not be sold at the door. 
  • Students and guests will need to show an ID. Their ticket will be linked to their SHS student ID. 
  • Once purchased, tickets cannot be refunded. 
  • Students will enter the dance through Door 2. 
  • Once the student leaves the dance, they may not re-enter. 

Volunteers from the Schaumburg High School Boosters will once again sponsor a hospitality table and coat check for coats, shoes, and purses.

Rules about Bringing a Guest 

SHS students may bring one guest from another school that is of high school age. Students must enter the dance with their guest. Guests will not be admitted without their corresponding SHS student. 

All guests must be 20 years old or younger and produce a current High School ID or valid Driver’s License/State-Issued ID if out of high school. Junior High age guests are not permitted. If students would like to bring a qualifying guest, they must provide guest information when purchasing their guest ticket. Guest information will be collected through MySchoolBucks when tickets are purchased online or will be collected when tickets are purchased in person. 

The following information will be collected: 

  • First and last name of the guest 
  • School they attend (if pertinent) 
  • Guest’s parent/ guardian name 
  • Guest’s parent/guardian’s phone number 

 

Dress Code Expectations for Semi-Formal Dances 

  • Students need to make their best attempt to dress in semi-formal wear. 

 

Expectations 

  • All students attending a dance sponsored by Schaumburg High School acknowledge that it is a school-related event, and all school rules apply. 
  • Students are expected to dance in a respectable manner. Dancing that is inappropriate or that creates unsafe conditions is not allowed. 
  • The administration reserves the right to remove any student from a dance for any type of behavior that is deemed inappropriate. 
  • All bags, purses, etc. are subject to search 
  • If an SHS student’s guest is removed from any dance, for any reason, that may jeopardize the SHS student’s attendance at future school events. 
  • If you are under the influence while on school property, you will face disciplinary consequences 
  • Students will not be eligible for a ticket refund should they be excused from the dance for disciplinary reasons. 

 

Late Entry to Dance 

• Students will not be admitted into the dance after 8:30, unless it has been previously approved due to a school-related conflict.
