    Spring Musical Informational Meeting – January 30

    Hey theater folks: We will soon hold auditions for the spring musical, “Into the Woods.”  Join us in the choir room on Monday, January 22, for a brief informational meeting. Auditions will be held on Tuesday, January 30. Whether you’ve been in musicals before, or this is your first time on stage, we welcome all to audition. Contact Ms. Reynolds or Mr. Elwell with any questions.

    Code211 Hackathon – THIS WEEKEND @ PHS

    Do you have an interest in computer science, technology, business, or mathematics? Make sure to come to the Code211 Hackathon this weekend at Palatine High School. Students of all levels of experience are welcome to learn about and build software. The event is taking place TODAY from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM and this Saturday from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM. Free food and t-shirts will be provided and this will be a fantastic chance for you to learn more about a critical skill to have in the future.     Saxon Pride “Sneaky Cards” Challenge

    Saxon PRIDE is challenging you to get to know your classmates better by playing a game called “Sneaky Cards” There are approximately 100+ sneaky cards about to be put into play around school. If you are lucky enough to receive a “sneaky card” the object of the game is to complete the challenge on the card, record your name on our google form listed on the card and on various posters around school, and then pass it along to someone else! The students to see the most sneaky cards and records them on our google form will be eligible for prizes ranging from free cookies in the cafeteria to gift cards. Good luck and keep a lookout for cards to play!

    Girl Up Meeting – January 23

    Girl Up will be holding its first meeting of 2018 on Tuesday, January 23rd. Join us at 3:00 p.m. in Room 203S and help us make a global impact. Snacks will be served. Any questions? See Mrs. Gilkey in the English office or Mr. Kostalek in Guidance.

    Advanced Placement Exams Information

     

    Attention all students currently taking Advanced Placement courses:

    If you are taking AP exams in May, you must complete the online registration which begins Friday, January 19 through Monday, January 29. You can access the online registration and make payments through the SHS website. Each exam you take is $94.00. All payments are due by February 1. See the SHS website for complete details about the AP registration process. If you have any questions, please contact Ms. Werlein or Mr. Kowalski in Student Services.

    Spring Sports – Registration is Now Open

    Students must be registered before the first day of tryouts.
    NOTE:  A Parent/Guardian must log in to the “Parent Portal” on Infinite Campus to register each student for athletics.
    All athletes must have a current physical on file and cleared with the school nurse prior to the first day of tryouts.

    Senior DVD Information – Begin uploading your photos!

    HEY SENIORS!!! Interested in having your high school memories captured on the Senior DVD? Start submitting photos of you and your friends that represent the great memories you have made with each other at Schaumburg High School over the years! Class of 2019, 2020, and 2021 are welcome to start uploading their photos as well. See Mrs. Casamassimo in Student Services if you have any questions. *Please note that SHS students must log into their Google Account in order to upload images.
