    Autism T-Shirt Sales –  April is AUTISM AWARENESS MONTH and the  LLS Program is selling Autism Awareness t-shirt SCHOOL-WIDE for $10. **ALL orders MUST be placed by THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 22!! Go to the cashier window to pre-order your Autism Awareness t-shirt (t-shirt is the picture of the black shirt to the left) and we will all join forces in April to show our support by “ACCEPT. UNDERSTAND. LOVE” individuals with Autism and their families!

    Congratulations Boys’ Swim Team

    Congratulations to the Boys’ Swim Team on the performance at sectionals over the weekend. Matt Kelland, Matteas Arostegui, Tyler Reynods, and Matt Soltau combined to get 6th place in the 400 free relay. Tyler Reynolds got the 3rd fastest 200 free time in school history and got a 5th place medal. Matt Soltau had an outstanding meet. He got 3rd in the 100 free and 2nd in the 50 free. In both events, Matt crushed the school record. He also got state qualifying times in both events and will be competing at the state meet this Friday. Great work boys!

    Congratulations Girls’ Bowling Team

    Congratulations to the Girls’ Bowling Team who finished 3rd at state and Kylie Frick who placed 7th.

    Boys’ Water Polo Open Gym – February 21

    Boys’ Water Polo will be having open gym this Wednesday, February 21, from 7:30-9:00 p.m. in the pool. Any questions, see Coach Koschnitzke in the math office.

    Boys’ Volleyball Informational Meeting – TODAY

    There will be a brief informational meeting for all boys interested in playing Volleyball this spring. The meeting will be held immediately after school in Room 116. All boys interested in playing volleyball should attend.

    Congratulations to the Schaumburg Debate Team for their success at the Harvard University Tournament where Junior Giselle Soares advanced to the quarterfinal round.

    St. Baldrick’s Dine-2-Donate @ Lou Malnati’s – February 21!

    Good morning! Wednesday, February 21,  is another St. Baldrick’s “Dine to Donate” day! We are partnering with Lou Malnati’s; they are donating 20% of all orders that say they’re ordering for the SHS St. Baldrick’s fundraiser all day long, open to close! Both Schaumburg locations, on Roselle and on Barrington Road, are helping us fundraise! Please consider ordering or going there for dinner with your family!

    SHS Boys’ Baseball Informational Meeting

    For all boys interested in playing baseball, we have a mandatory tryout meeting on Tuesday, February 20,  in Room 200 at 3:00 p.m. You will need to bring your i-Pads for this meeting. If you are a winter athlete and unable to attend, e-mail Mr. Seely at [email protected] no later than February 20.

    February Career Treks

    Check out the list of February Career Treks! This month, we will be exploring careers in law, public safety, forensics chemical/general engineering, business, supply chain, and healthcare. If you want to attend any of these treks, turn your Career Trek registration forms in soon! (Some treks have a very limited # of spots). Find the Career Trek registration form, trek details, & full list of 2nd semester treks on the Schoology Career Trek course (FKG9T-MB42X). Don’t miss out on treks that interest you!

    Diversity Fair Information

    The Diversity Fair is an in-school gathering for students to celebrate their identity. Each year students set up booths that communicate their identity. Last year we had Latinos Unidos, India, Autism Awareness, Ukraine, UNITY, the GSA, and more! Come to our meetings to prepare your table and join our Fair on Tuesday 2/6 at 3 in 125.     Seal of Biliteracy Test Applications Now Available

    The Seal of Biliteracy Test Applications are now available!  Students interested in the opportunity to earn the Illinois State Seal of Biliteracy by demonstrating a high level of proficiency in English and another language are eligible to take the test scheduled between March 12-23. Please see application for more details.  If additional information is needed, please contact:  Mrs. Polito in the World Language Department at [email protected] or Ms. Delgado in Student Services at [email protected].  Applications and payments are due no later than February 23.

    Spring Sports – Registration is Now Open

    Students must be registered before the first day of tryouts.
    NOTE:  A Parent/Guardian must log in to the “Parent Portal” on Infinite Campus to register each student for athletics.
    All athletes must have a current physical on file and cleared with the school nurse prior to the first day of tryouts.

Start submitting photos of you and your friends that represent the great memories you have made with each other at Schaumburg High School over the years!
