    Starlites Flags Team Clinics


    The Starlites flags team will be holding a clinic for current SHS students Monday, April 24th through Wednesday, April 26th from 5pm to 7pm. If you are interested in attending, please contact Mrs. Cass in Student Services. Hope to see you there!

    Recognition Assembly Monday 7:30 a.m.

    On Monday, April 24, we will have our Recognition Assembly to recognize our Debate State Champs and Medalists at their State Competitions.  Please report to the Main Gym as you enter the school, prior to 7:30 a.m. on Monday.


    Author Jay Asher Visit to SHS

    Award-winning author Jay Asher visited SHS and discussed his New York Times bestseller Thirteen Reasons Why as well as his other literary works, What Light, The Future of Us, and a brief overview of an upcoming October 2017, release of Piper.  Mr. Asher also walked students through the timeline of becoming a published author and his method of developing his fictional characters.  Check out the slideshow of Mr. Asher’s presentation and book signing.  https://goo.gl/2xp5jo

    Seniors – Graduation Information

    Attention All Seniors: If you did not pick up your graduation cap, gown, and tickets on Wednesday, April 19, pick them up in Mrs. LaFayette’s office. Your student ID will be required. Each graduate will receive 10 tickets. If your family needs additional tickets, contact classmates to see who will have extra available tickets.

    As a reminder, each senior is required to complete the Senior Exit form no later than May 1. The GoogleDoc form is located in the update section of your counselor’s Schoology course.

    Congratulations Girls’ Varsity Soccer Team

    Congratulations to the Girls’ Varsity Soccer Team on their 1-0 conference victory over Buffalo Grove last night! Freshman Victoria Treni scored the game-winning goal and sophomore Livvy Masi earned the shutout in goal. The girls play their next home game Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. against Barrington.     National Letter of Intent – Athletic Signing @ SHS!

    Congratulations to the Girls’ Varsity Softball Team

    Congratulations to the Varsity Softball Team on their great comeback win over Elk Grove last night. The saxons were down 6-8 in the bottom of the 7th as the saxons timely offense began. Micaela Encarnacion leads off the 7th inning with a single followed by Natalie Napier with another base hit. Brittney Butt hits a ball off the wall bringing the score to 7-8. Kaiden Jackson then comes up with a double to score 2 runs that clenches the win. The Saxons are now 2-0 in conference and take on Prospect away today. Keep it going ladies!

    Boys’ Soccer – Informational Meeting

    There will be a mandatory informational meeting for all Boys’ Soccer players tomorrow Thursday, April 13, after school in room 224.

    Senior Saxons – Submit your Photos for Video!

    The Senior DVD  link is available on the Schaumburg High School website under “Announcements”, FaceBook, and Twitter. Upload 10 photos of you and your senior friends throughout the four years of high school. Pictures and videos of dances, athletic events, classroom projects, etc. are welcome. You need to sign into your School Google Email Account.  Contact Mrs. Becker at [email protected]   Final due date is May 9th.
