    IHSA Debate State Championship Title

    Congratulations to the SHS Debate Team who captured its 3rd IHSA Debate State Championship Title right before Spring Break! For the third time in four years, our Debating Saxons have proven to be the best in Illinois. Special Mention goes out to Melissa Tran, Nathaniel Leonhardt, Kimberly Jimenez, Valeria Gololobova, Srini Cherukuri, and Kshitij Vashi who represented us in the final rounds. It’s arguably our best finish ever!

    Congratulations to the varsity softball team

    Congratulations to the varsity softball team on their 10-0 victory over St. Ignatius last night. The girls take on St. Charles North on Wednesday at 4:30. We hope to see you there!

    Congratulations to the varsity and JV girls’ water polo teams,

    both of whom beat Hoffman last night. Varsity won 12-0 in their first shutout of the season; Britney Vasquez led the Saxons in scoring four goals. JV won 11-2 with Emma Rutherford leading the team in scoring five goals. The team’s next home game is Monday at 4:30 against Fremd. Come out and support the ladies!

    Attention Juniors and Seniors-

    Prom will take place on Sat. May 2nd at the Westin in Itasca. If planning to attend this formal event, you will be responsible for reading the expectations and acknowledging that you will adhere to them. Please visit “Prom 2015 General Information and Expectations”. Read and acknowledge the expectations. This will need to be completed before you are allowed to purchase your prom tickets on April 11th.

    Career Treks in April

    The career trek schedule for  April is now posted online! and also outside room 109. Highlights include a trek to an architecture firm or April 7th and a trip to the Schaumburg Park District on April 8th. If you are interested in Fitness, working with sports, or parks and recreation, be sure to check out the Schaumburg Park District trek. As always, space is limited so sign up right away.
